Primary Function:Sort and stack lumber per quality standards and specifications.

Vertical & Horizontal Role Relationships

  • Vertical Relationships: Machine Supervisors, MAC Production Supervisor, VP of Manufacturing
  • Horizontal Relationships: Other Machine Personnel

Accountabilities

  • Pull boards and stack per production schedule and specifications (cosmetic and functionality)
  • Place sticks at required specifications, as needed
  • Prepare backs for banding
    • Ensure tight packs
    • Keep edges straight
  • Put pallets on packs for stacking
  • Push out carts
  • Working knowledge of quality specifications of strips and dimensions
  • General housekeeping and maintenance

Position Specifications

  • Able to stand and walk 8-12 hours a day
  • Able to use hands and reach with arms
  • Lift and or move up to 50+ pounds repetitively during the day
  • Bend, twist, kneel, stoop, talk, and hear
  • Specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
  • Able to work in cold and warm weather conditions
  • Able to flip, pull, and maneuver boards
  • Understanding of basic metric measurement
  • Must be able to identify/create straight edges
  • Determine length and width of material
  • Communicate with other machine personnel
  • Adhere to the Legs of our BING Stool (Production, Quality, Safety)
  • Understanding of safety requirements
